National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th. You can learn more and find great resources for kids here:

NHHM began in 1968 (it was originally only one week!) as a way to promote the history, culture, and contributions of people who came themselves or whose ancestors came from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. This month is the perfect time to explore the diversity within Hispanic culture in music, the arts, literature, and food and to learn more about the many contributions made by Hispanic Americans to all aspects of society.
We have LOTS of books on Hispanic Heritage, particularly #ownvoices books by Latinx and Hispanic authors, on display at the library!
