The Unification of Italy – In Person
October 16 @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PMFree
To the surprise of many, the country of Italy has a much briefer “national” history compared to the United States of America. Why and how did this boot-shaped piece of geography, so divided by dialects and regional borders eventually unite? This lecture will take a deep look at 19th century Italy and its efforts to be independent of larger powers like Spain, France, and Austria, and become a united nation. Presented by Alexander Clemente.
