Event Details

Mandalas are Indian geometric patterns that are thought to represent the vastness of the universe. They’re beautiful and colorful and all-around pretty cool! (Click here to see some examples.)
For ages 8-13, we are hosting a Mandala Poetry program on Tuesday, February 9th at 4:30 pm. We will color different mandalas using colored pencils and markers while listening to music. Afterward, we will look at our mandalas and write short poems based on how the colors and patterns make us feel. No experience is necessary, and everyone gets to take their mandalas — and their original poems! — home. Our Tween Librarian, Ms. Kat, has a master’s degree in poetry, so she can help guide us along!
Please register below. Thank you!
