Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs

on Thu, 11/07/2013 - 4:15pm

All our slots are filled. Thank you! We will see you on Saturday morning. We can't wait!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our November Special Needs Meet and Greet. We had so much fun! We listened to your suggestions and are starting a bi-monthly set of programs for children with physical, developmental, medical, emotional, and/or learning-based special needs.

Our first Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs will be held on Saturday, December 7th, at 10:15 am. (If your child needs some time to become acclimated to our setting, please feel free to come at 10:00 am.) We will share stories, sing songs, engage in structured play, and dance.

This program precedes our Read to a Dog program at 11:00 am, in which certified therapy dogs come to the library. Two of our therapy dogs will be available around 10:40 am specifically for the Sensory and Movement Storytime, so as to accommodate children who may be more comfortable in a smaller group. All children are welcome to stay for the 11:00 am session.

Please register below. We can't wait to see you!
