Ages 11 and up, please join us on Tuesday, July 29th at 3:00 pm for our nextTween Crafternoon. In this session, we will be decorating candy and cookies. (And we'll be eating our creations!)
We will be using products that contain dairy ingredients to decorate, so please let us know if you have an allergy.

This storytime is now full. Thank you for your interest and enthusiam. See you soon!

3D Sketching: Cartoon Images
Ages 7 and up, please join Ms. Mary (our pottery instructor!) for a special 3D Sketching Class on Thursday, July 31st at 7:00 pm. Ms. Mary will introduce our young artists to terms like foreshortening, density, and horizon, and will help us turn our two-dimensional drawings into 3D images that leap off the page! This class will focus on cartoon-style images, and everyone will create some very cool drawings to take home.
No prior experience necessary!

Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs
Our next session of Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs (for children with physical, developmental, medical, emotional, and/or learning-based special needs) will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00 am.
If your child needs some time to become acclimated to our setting, please feel free to come at 9:45 am.
This program precedes our Read to a Dog program at 11:00 am, in which certified therapy dogs come to the library. Two of our therapy dogs will be available around 10:40 am specifically for the Sensory and Movement Storytime, so as to accommodate children who may be more comfortable in a smaller group. All children are welcome to stay for the 11:00 am session.
Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. We can't wait to see you!
Read to a Dog
Our certified therapy dogs are back for another visit! Meet Turner, Rusty, Zoe, Janie, and Marquis (Clover is on vacation!) at Read to a Dog on Saturday, August 2nd from 11:00 am to Noon. This program is open to all ages and abilities, both readers and pre-readers.
Reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners (like dogs!) boosts confidence and improves reading and recitation skills. Moreover, reading together helps to reinforce letter recognition and vocabulary, and it creates a stronger bond with books. It's also a lot of fun! Don't believe us? Check out these great photos from our July session.
Ready to sign up? Cool! Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Woof!
Drop-in Craft: Sea Creatures!
Drop by the library on Saturday, August 9th between 10 and 11 am for an hour of sea creature crafting! If you are at least 3 years old, this craft is just right for you and you'll get to make one, two, or all three of these sea animals: an octopus, lobster, or seahorse! We'll provide all the material, you just need to bring your marine biologist spirit and creativity. Looking forward to crafting with you soon!
No registration necessary!
