Spring is finally here!
Ages 3 and up, please join us for a special Saturday Spring Storytime on Saturday, April 19th at 10:00 am. We will read stories, sing songs, and make a craft (a spring banner!) to celebrate the arrival of springtime. So that we have enough materials for everyone, please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. We can't wait to see you for all the fun!
Join us for a Spring Celebration of Crafts on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm. For children ages 6 and up, we will have four awesome craft stations at which we will make and decorate suncatchers, snap bracelets, and decoupage balloon bowls (note: we will be using latex balloons). We will also have a cookie decorating station! You can check out the balloon bowl and suncatcher in the photo above. Children are welcome to spend as much -- or as little! -- time at each station. You'll go home with an armload of your cool creations!
Sound like a fun night? We thought so! Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Spring into crafting!
Music & Dance Storytime
Looking for a chance to dance out your winter blues? Searching for music-filled stories? Are you 3 years old and up? Then look no further and come to the library for this dance and music storytime on Thursday, April 24th at 10:30 am! We’ll read stories and do a craft all about dancing and music and definitely sing some of our favorite songs too. Please register here or by clicking on the flyer below. Looking forward to dancing with you then!
Youth Power Fitness

Crafts for Kids: Poetry!
April is National Poetry Month. And no one is too young for poetry!
Ages 2 and up, please join us on Wednesday, April 30th at 10:30 am for our next Crafts for Kids program. This month, we will be making artwork inspired by NJ poet William Carlos Williams' poem, "The Red Wheelbarrow." This project will involve watercolor painting, foam pieces, feathers, and a word collage ... all age appropriate. Help introduce your child to poetry AND make a neat piece of art to take home!
Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. We can't wait to see what you create!
Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs
Our next session of Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs (for children with physical, developmental, medical, emotional, and/or learning-based special needs) will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:00 am.
If your child needs some time to become acclimated to our setting, please feel free to come at 9:45 am.
This program precedes our Read to a Dog program at 11:00 am, in which certified therapy dogs come to the library. Two of our therapy dogs will be available around 10:40 am specifically for the Sensory and Movement Storytime, so as to accommodate children who may be more comfortable in a smaller group. All children are welcome to stay for the 11:00 am session.
Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. We can't wait to see you!
Up in the Air Storytime
Have you ever seen an airplane flying? A helicopter hovering? Or kites soaring? If you have, you must have been looking up...up in the air!
And we'd love for you to join us for a storytime about all things up in the air! Register here or by clicking on the flyer below if you 2 years old or older and free at 10:30 am on Friday, May 2nd. We'll look forward to soaring in the sky with you then!
Read to a Dog!
Our certified therapy dogs are back for another visit! Meet Rusty, Zoe, Clover, and Janie at Read to a Dog on Saturday, May 3rd from 11:00 am to Noon. (Turner is on vacation this month but will be back in June!) This program is open to all ages and abilities, both readers and pre-readers.
Reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners (like dogs!) boosts confidence and improves reading and recitation skills. Moreover, reading together helps to reinforce letter recognition and vocabulary, and it creates a stronger bond with books. It's also a lot of fun! Don't believe us? Check out these great photos from our April session.
Ready to sign up? Cool! Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Woof!
