Valerie Moreno, a professional artist and former arts educator, will present a lecture and photographs chronicling her journey through Holland and France following in the footsteps of the impressionist master Vincent Van Gogh.
Early New England burial grounds were the first public art galleries in the New World. Even today, many of these tranquil sites display the remarkable artistic, cultural and religious changes of this region. Old gravestones or markers often explained how entire families lived and died.
Using oil pastels and digital photos taken of you at the program, you will picture yourself in your own version of Edvard Munch's, The Scream. Since pastels do stain, please wear a smock or old clothes. Limit 12. Instructor: Mrs. Matveev
